Sunday fun on the Beach. My brother Stan brought Terry Stupp of CUI Products in Oklahoma down to the Beach to put some of the custom rods that he makes for me to the test. Lance Williams, Ken StPe and his son Luke joined them. The wind that had blowing for the past few days finally laid down enough for us to get out into the Sound. At our first stop the guys started putting some pretty Trout in the boat fishing with live shrimp on the bottom. There also were a few big Reds mixed in to bend the poles and make the reels scream. This bite eventually shut down so we made several moves picking up a few fish at each stop. The guys had a great time putting together a good box of fish, 75 Trout, 2 Reds, 1 Drum, and 6 Sheepshead.

 

The Trout are on and the fishing in Shell Beach is outstanding. Campo’s is open with fuel, bait, ice, and the newly improved back down ramps are open. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo’s is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters, dates are filling fast.
