Fun day Wednesday on the Beach. Joe Casanova from CT Traina Inc. brought the Cummings Mid South gang, Butch Scarborough, Mike Lee, and Terry Falgoust to the Beach for a day of fishing. We started out on the edge of the Sound and the guys caught some very nice Trout and some keeper Reds, but the bite was very slow. We made a move closer in and got on a good and fast Trout bite. When the tide started to shift the bite died. Made a couple of more moves catching fish at each till the heat took its toll and our bait was all gone. All fish were caught on Campo’s trained live shrimp under a cork. Everyone had a great time and they guys were as fun to fish with as usual. Total for the day was 109 Trout, 6 Reds, 7 Sheepshead, and 1 Flounder.
The Trout are on and the fishing in Shell Beach is outstanding. Campo’s is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and the newly improved back down ramps are open.
