LAKES

Binder: 72 degrees, normal, clear; largemouth bass fair on plastic worms and spinnerbaits; bluegill fair on worms and crickets; channel catfish good on nightcrawlers and stinkbaits; crappie fair on minnows; all other species slow. (Report made on 9/29/2010)

Blind Pony Lake: 71 degrees, normal, dingy; all species slow; anglers need to be reminded that the lake is closed to private boats and bait held or transported in containers with water is prohibited. (Report made on 9/28/2010)

Lake of the Ozarks (Bagnell Tailwater): 73 degrees, high, dingy; catfish fair on shad, cut baits and stinkbaits; white bass slow on light colored soft plastics and crappie jigs; black bass slow on worms and soft plastic worms; crappie slow on minnows and crappie jigs.(Report made on 9/29/2010)

Lake of the Ozarks (Glaize): 75 degrees, dingy; catfish slow on worms, hotdogs, stinkbaits, cut baits, chicken livers, shad and bluegill; white bass slow using light colored soft plastics; black bass slow on dark colored soft plastics and crankbaits; crappie fair on crappie jigs and minnows. Maramec Spring Park: 57 degrees, the water level is normal and clear; blue-green color, pink, white, and orange doughbait is working well; bubblegum Power Bait and green and white rubber leg jigs have been effective. Whistle hours for Sept. are 7:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. (Report made on 9/30/2010)

Montauk State Park: 58 degrees, the river level is normal for this time of year and steady as of 11:30 a.m. on September 29th. The water is clear. Fishing is good on all baits with the best fishing in the morning and evening hours.

Roaring River State Park: 59 degrees, the spring is clear and low; orange and cheese colored plastic worms are working well; yellow, white, and pink worms have been working well; brown, white or fluorescent orange power eggs are doing well; use jigs in olive, brown, white, and black; in zone 3, minnows, nightcrawlers and Power Bait paste baits continue to work well.
